Speaking with relatives about family history, I am often told to keep this piece of information between you, me and the gate post. Respecting sensibilities, I will share my family stories entwine with historical events from Copiah, Jefferson and Lincoln Counties, Mississippi, from gate post to gate post.

Sunday Morning People
They look like a group who just finish their Sunday School lesson in a church somewhere in Lincoln County, MS.
Sunday clothes sure have changed over the years. It's been years since women wore white gloves--but I'm sure it was considered appropriate, stylish attire at the time.
It was stylish at the time. As a child I had Sunday clothes and shoes to be worn just for church or other special occasions. Every woman needed a hat, hose, gloves, and men wore neck ties and a suit. Things have changed.
That little one in the front with the short, short dress on does not look very happy about it either.
