    1. I love when you can get the entire family to sit for a photograph.

  2. I love family portraits. There seems to be resemblance in the young men, so I assume these are sons/brothers.

  3. Yes, they are the sons and daughter of James and Lydia Herring Freeman. The parents are seated in the center.

  4. I had interpreted that as Allura and Robert, presuming it to be a couple as their names were linked.

  5. I found your blog today and it is absolutely beautiful! I've added a link to it on our archives blog and created a feature post to highlight it (http://cjrlarchives.blogspot.com/2014/02/featured-blog-between-gate-posts.html). I hope you are happy with this. I plan on visiting regularly!

  6. I'm so glad I found your blog! James and Mary Ann are my grandmother's great-grandparents. I think I went as far back as I can on the Coleman side and I couldn't find anything on the Markhams until now!

  7. Hi Cousin Quiakyrie, I, too, am glad you found my blog. My great grandfather Monroe Markham and your 3rd great grandmother Mary Ann were siblings. I would love to continue this conversation about our family. Contact me LRudd at aol dot com.
