Members of my family would be familiar with this store as this was the area they were enslaved. The store was located in Union Church, Jefferson County, Mississippi.
The store is said to have been built around 1840.
It was destroyed by fire September 08, 2004.

It's sad that this piece of history was destroyed by fire. The picture of the old building with the soda machine on the porch really pulls past and present together.
