How do the boys connect to my family?
The brothers' great grandaunt Mary Lou McDaniel married my cousin, Frank Scott.
Speaking with relatives about family history, I am often told to keep this piece of information between you, me and the gate post. Respecting sensibilities, I will share my family stories entwine with historical events from Copiah, Jefferson and Lincoln Counties, Mississippi, from gate post to gate post.

What sweet faces, but I have to think that underneath the pose for the photograph they are all boy!
They probably couldn't wait to get out of those neck and bow ties and back to regular clothes and play time.
I had a similar thought the minute I saw this photo--that Mom liked the ties, but that the kids could hardly wait to get out of them.
Such cute little boys! I don't know, maybe they liked dressing up. Sometimes when they're little they feel grown up in ties and suits.
My grandson likes to wear a tie looking at himself in the mirror.
I thought i'd never find this picture again. I give all praise to The Most High! And a humongous thank you to the family member who posted this. Me, my oldest brother, and my family have seen so much tragedy. I am so grateful that Love has preserved pieces of the puzzle. And trust and believe we couldn't wait to get out of those 'church clothes' as our grandmother liked to call them so we could rough house!
